Penn State Hands Villanova First Loss

University Park, Pa. - Villanova lost its first road game of the season to Penn State 13-7. After gaining early lead on two goals from Chris Schiller and one from Will Driscoll, the Lions stifling man-to-man defense making it difficult for the Wildcats to get on the board. But with 3:50 remaining in the first quarter, Christopher Larson broke the ice for Villanova, cutting down the Lions' lead to 3-1. Striking first in the second quarter was Chris Corr who netted the first of his two goals , bringing the Wildcats within one goal. Like waking a sleeping giant, Penn State (2-0) fired back five unanswered goals and cruised to the 13-7 victory.

Villanova (1-1) was led by Chris Corr who tallied two goals and one assist, while Andrew Bogle added one goals and one assist in the losing effort. For the Nittany Lions, Chris Schiller recorded a game-high five goals and two assists in the victory. The Wildcats will return home to face yet another nationally ranked squad in the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame on Saturday, March 13.
