Villanova, Pa.--- The Villanova women's basketball game versus the Providence Friars on Sunday, Jan. 17, at noon in Providence, R.I., will be aired live on television in the Philadelphia area on Comcast SportsNet.

The Wildcats come into the game with a 7-8 overall record and a 3-4 Big East mark, fresh off a 54-41 victory over the St. John's Red Storm on Thursday, Jan. 14. Villanova is led by sophomore center Brandi Barnes who is currently tops on the team in both scoring (11.8 ppg) and rebounding (6.1 rpg).

The Cats lead the overall series versus the Friars 18-17 and have taken the last three meetings. Earlier this season against Providence on Jan. 2, Villanova defeated its Big East counterpart, 62-42, at the Pavilion on the campus of Villanova University.

After Sunday's meeting with the Friars, the Wildcats will return home to host the Miami Hurricanes on Saturday, Jan. 23, at 2 p.m.
