PHILADELPHIA - At the annual women's Philadelphia Big Five banquet held on Tuesday, April 18 at Williamson's Restaurant in Philadelphia, Villanova freshman Trish Juhline was named Big Five Rookie of the Year. Juhline started all 30 games as a rookie and averaged 13.1 ppg., 3.6 rpg., 2.9 apg and 1.1 spg. In addition, she led the team in three-point field goals made with 66. Juhline was also named to the All-Big Five second team.
Three other Wildcats were also honored including senior forward Jenea Skeeters, junior center Brandi Barnes and sophomore center Stephanie Baker. Skeeters garnered first team acclaim for the second-straight year, while Barnes earned second team distinction for the second year in a row. Baker was named to the All-Academic team.
