Villanova, Pa. - On Saturday, October 26, the Villanova men's basketball team held their annual Blue vs. White intrasquad scrimmage to the delight of Wildcat fans at the Pavilion. Those who attended saw a hard fought game that the Blue squad won 48-36. The scrimmage marked the first time Wildcat fans were able to see the team in action this year.

The victorious Blue team was led offensively by freshmen Curtis Sumpter and Allan Ray with 12 points apiece. Junior Derrick Snowden dished out six assists for a game high and freshman Jason Fraser contributed nine rebounds and two monstrous blocks.

Senior Ricky Wright who scored 12 points and grabbed six rebounds led the White squad in defeat. Strong efforts were put forth by senior Andrew Sullivan and freshman Randy Foye who had 8 and 9 points respectively.

The Wildcats look ahead to November 6 when Hoop Group enters the Pavilion for an exhibition game at 7:30 p.m. The first game that will affect Villanova's record comes on November 15 in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic against Marquette. Expectations are high in the 'Nova Nation and if today's Blue vs. White game is any indication then Wildcat fans have little to worry about.
