After not being ranked in the Sports Network Division I-AA preseason Top 25 poll, the Villanova Wildcats went from receiving votes to No. 15 in the poll released on Monday, Sept. 2. Villanova makes the jump in the poll due to its 37-19 win at Division I-A Rutgers in the season opener on Saturday, Aug. 31.

The Wildcats are one of five Atlantic 10 Conference teams to appear in this week's poll. Delaware is No. 9, followed by William & Mary at No. 10, Maine at No. 11 with Hofstra checking in at No. 20.

Villanova returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 7 with a road game at Colgate. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
