VILLANOVA, PA. - The Villanova softball program continues to represent the tradition of academic excellence at Villanova, as six Wildcats have been named as NFCA Academic All-Americans.

Head coach Maria DiBernardi announced earlier this week that senior Andrea Brown, juniors Kristen Haynes and Allison Wisniewski and sophomore Kristin Leese have been recognized for their academic success.

In addition, departed players Sara Carlson and Jessie Olownia were also named to the list.

Haynes, a comprehensive sciences major, is being honored for the second consecutive year. It is the first time that Brown, Wisniewski and Leese have earned the prestigious distinction handed out by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.
