Villanova University senior defensive back Clarence Curry has been one of 50 players added to the list of players selected to play in the inaugural Division I-AA College Football All-Star Game. The game will be played at Lockhart Stadium in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., on Tuesday, Dec. 30. Villanova senior tight end Matt Chila was one of the original 50 players selected in late August to play in the game.
The purpose of the game is to bring the best Division I-AA players to the nation's attention. The Football Network created the game in cooperation with the 13 I-AA conferences.
Curry is in the midst of a standout year as one of the Atlantic 10 Conference's best cover corners. Curry has started all seven games in 2003 and has tallied 19 total tackles, one interception and one fumble recovery. He also leads the Atlantic 10 in pass break-ups with 10.
A native of Parsippany, N.J., the 6-1, 190 pound Curry is in his third year as a Wildcat starter.
