VILLANOVA, PA. - The Villanova women's tennis team remained perfect this fall with a 7-0 defeat of Delaware on Thursday afternoon at the Villanova Tennis Complex.

Melissa Reed, Jessie Rybacki, Kelly McAndrew and Erica Walter each cruised to straight-set singles wins. Courtney Flezzani rallied for a 5-7, 6-1, 1-0 victory over Liz Perlow at second singles, while Leighann Reilly also needed three sets to take care of Beth Principe at fifth singles.

In doubles play, McAndrew and Rybacki teamed for an 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles, which marked their eighth win of the season. Candice Carlin and Morgan Flezzani found success in their first match together, with an 8-5 defeat of Sari Shuster and Perlow. Courtney Flezzani and Walter also captured third doubles to finish off the sweep for the Wildcats.

Villanova (5-0) returns to action on Tuesday at 3 p.m. when St. Joseph's visits the Villanova Tennis Complex.
