State College, Pa.- On Sunday, April 27, the Villanova University golf team competed in the Rutherford Intercollegiate and came away with 15th place, finishing just two strokes behind St. Bonaventure. Penn State won the tournament with a three day total of 852.

The Wildcats were led by freshman Jon Hewett, who shot a combined 226, placing him in a tie for 49th place overall. Senior John Ward finished two strokes back in a tie for 55th.

Matt Gugino shot a 229, giving him 61st place, while Charlie Nettleton placed 78th overall.
