VILLANOVA, Pa. (AP) - Marvin Burroughs completed 18-of-28 passes for 232 yards and a pair of touchdowns against the No. 1 passing defense in Division I-AA as the Villanova Wildcats beat the Towson Tigers 41-6 on Saturday.
In the first quarter, Burroughs went 8-for-12 for 85 yards against a Towson team that had given up just 100.3 yards per game through the air and had not allowed an opponent to complete a pass in two games.

Towson (3-4, 0-4) notched the opening score of the second half, a 6-yard touchdown pass from Andrew Goldbeck to Eric Yancey, but the extra point attempt was blocked.
Villanova then scored 21 unanswered points, beginning with a touchdown when Burroughs fumbled on the goal line after a 7-yard run and Curtis Waltman recovered the ball in the end zone. Burroughs later threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Waltman and Dan Silva scored on a 20-yard interception return.
