Villanova Basketball TV and Radio Programs Debut Tonight

VILLANOVA, Pa. - A pair of Villanova Basketball shows debut tonight. At 6:00 p.m. the "Talking Villanova Basketball With Jay Wright" radio program airs live from the Great American Pub in Conshohocken, Pa. At 7:30 p.m., Comcast SportsNet will carry the first of ten "Inside Villanova Basketball With Jay Wright" television shows.

"Talking Villanova Basketball" airs in the Philadelphia region on Villanova's flagship station, WNTP (990 AM). It is also available via the internet through the Audio/Video Link at villanova.com. Scheduled guests for the one hour program are national basketball writer Dick "Hoops" Weiss of the New York Daily News and Villanova basketball alumnus Mike Daly, who was a member of the great 1971 Wildcat team. In addition, several current Wildcats are also set to appear on the show.

The event is open to the public.

The "Inside Villanova Basketball" television program features a behind the scenes look at Villanova's preparation for its 2004-05 season opener against the University of Maryland-Baltimore County; a feature on a unique training method used in the off-season; a story on junior forward Chris Charles along with a look back at the 2004 "Summer Jam."

Villanova resumes action on Saturday against Temple at the Palestra at approximately 3:30 p.m. A limited number of tickets for the game are available and can be obtained by calling the Villanova Ticket Office at (610) 519-4100.
