Dig through your attic and dust off your old 70's polyester suit you have a reason to wear it again. This Wednesday night when Villanova hosts West Virginia at the Pavilion, the clock's will turn back to the late 70's. That game will be televised live by ESPN Classic. In a brand new format, ESPN Classic will try to make its production look like what you saw on TV back in 1979. The network will use "throwback" graphics and original ESPN announcer Jim Simpson, joined by former Villanova head coach Rollie Massimino, to simulate a 1979-era broadcast. Fans are encouraged to wear their old 1970's outfits to add to the throwback atmosphere.
Villanova wants to encourage their fans coming to the game to join in the fun. There will be 70's music played throughout the game, special 70's theme contests, and the best dressed fan who comes decked out in their 70's clothes will get a special prize. Join the party and watch the Wildcat's take on West Virginia in their Big East Opener...70's style!
