PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Betsy McManus and Courtney Roantree each came off the bench to set career highs with 15 and 14 points, respectively, to lead No. 24 Villanova past Penn 69-44 Sunday.
Villanova (4-2) hit a season-high 11 3-pointers, including three apiece by McManus and Roantree. Liad Suez added 12 points for the Wildcats.
Jennifer Fleischer had 12 points and 10 rebounds to lead Penn (3-3).
McManus scored 10 points in the second half and finished 5-of-6 from the field. Her previous career high was 14 points set last season.
Roantree, who scored a total of five points in Villanova's first five games, scored 13 of her points in the first half.
After missing nine of its first 11 shots, Villanova hit five of its next six including 3s by McManus, Jackie Adamshick and Roantree en route to an 18-6 lead. The Wildcats led 32-19 at halftime.
Villanova cruised in the second half, shooting 9-for-21 from the field, including 6-of-11 from beyond the arc.
The Wildcats hit 20 of 26 free throws and turned the ball over just six times.
Villanova owns a 30-2 lead in the series with Penn.
