FAIRFAX, VA. - Four different Wildcats won singles and doubles matches to lead Villanova to a 6-1 win over George Mason on Monday. The Wildcats won five singles and all three doubles matches on the afternoon.
Candice Carlin and Kelly McAndrew each earned their 14th win of the season with decisions at No. 1 and No. 5 singles, respectively. Courtney Flezzani, Jessie Rybacki and Leighann Reilly also prevailed in straight sets for the Wildcats. Morgan Flezzani registered an 8-1 win in an exhibition singles match.
On the doubles side, McAndrew and Rybacki improved to 12-3 on the season with a 9-7 win at No. 2. Melissa Reed and Carlin won at first doubles, while Courtney Flezzani and Walter teamed for the decision at third doubles.
Villanova (8-3) returns to action on Saturday at 12 p.m. at Georgetown before hosting Williams College on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Villanova Tennis Complex.
