Curry Signs with Cleveland Browns

Villanova University senior cornerback Clarence Curry has signed a free agent contract with the Cleveland Browns. He will participate in the Browns upcoming minicamp that runs from April 30 to May 2. Curry, who is a native of Parsippany, N.J., will graduate in May with a communications degree.

During the 2003 season, Curry started all 11 games for the Wildcats and tallied 36 total tackles, 10 pass break-ups, one interception and one fumble recovery. For his efforts, he was named second team All-Atlantic 10. During his Villanova career, Curry registered 112 tackles, five interceptions, 30 pass break-ups and two fumble recoveries.

The 6-1, 210 pound Curry is the third Villanova Wildcat to be currently under contract in the NFL. Former Wildcat receiver Brian Finneran is in his sixth season in the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons, while running back Brian Westbrook is in his third year with the Philadelphia Eagles.
