HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) - Justin Rascati threw one touchdown and ran for another to lead James Madison to 28-13 victory over Villanova on Saturday.
Rascati connected with Casmine Harris on a 3-yard pass at 10:12 in the second quarter to bring the Dukes (6-4, 4-3 Atlantic 10) to a 14-10 lead. Rascati's 1-yard touchdown run in the third quarter capped off a nine-play, 76-yard drive. He finished 10-for-13 for 145 yards.
The Wildcats (4-6, 2-5) scored first on a 1-yard touchdown run by Martin Gibson, but it was kicker Joe Marcoux who kept Villanova in the game. Marcoux kicked a 41-yard field goal that gave the Wildcats a 10-7 lead going into the second period and added another 34-yard field goal to make it 21-13 before the break..
Maurice Fenner ran for 127 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries, and Alvin Banks carried the ball 25 times for 114 yards and a touchdown.
