Minneapolis, Minn. - Villanova senior Jenny Somerville (Hillsdale, Ind.) finshed tied for 38th place in the 500 freestyle on Thursday at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. The meet in being hosted by the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Somerville entered the event seeded 39th out of the 67 swimmers who qualified.

She will now focus on the 1650 freestyle event on Saturday, where she is seeded 31st out of 43 swimmers.

This marks the third consecutive year that Somerville has qualified for the NCAA meet and the second year that she has qualified in two events.
