Philadelphia, Pa. - Due to their thrilling 26-20 upset of No. 1 Richmond last week, the Villanova Wildcats moved up five spots to No. 14 in this week's Sports Network poll. Villanova garnered 1,117 points in the poll and are one of six CAA teams in the top 25.
CAA member James Madison takes over the top spot this week with 2,684 points followed by Appalachian State with 2,528 points and Montana with 1,455 points. McNeese State (2,360 points) and New Hampshire (1,976 points) round out the top five.
In addition to James Madison, New Hampshire and Villanova, other CAA teams in this week's top 25 include Richmond (1,733 points) at No. 6, Delaware (935 points) at No. 16 and Massachusetts (784 points) at No. 18.
Villanova returns to action this Saturday, Oct. 4, when the Wildcats travel to William & Mary. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
