VILLANOVA, Pa. - The Villanova men's tennis team went 1-1 for the weekend, claiming a victory 4-3 over Hofstra but falling 4-3 to Fairfield.
Against Fairfield, Villanova was victorious at No. 2 doubles with David Shaheen and Ryan Peyton defeating Dennis Zlobinsky and Reece Breault, 8-5.
Thomas O'Brien claimed a victory at No. 1 singles, defeating Joe Michalisin 7-6 (4), 6-3. Peyton also claimed his second win of the day over Rob Ferrante at No. 5 singles, 6-3, 6-4.
Against the Hofstra Pride, the Wildcats secured the 4-3 victory on Sunday afternoon.
