Wide Receiver Norman White To Miss 2011 Season

Sept. 1, 2011

VILLANOVA, Pa. - Villanova University head football coach Andy Talley today announced that senior wide receiver and co-captain Norman White will miss the 2011 season due to a lisfranc injury of the left foot. White will redshirt this year and return for a fifth-year in 2012.

"We are very disappointed for Norman. He is a premier player in our league who looked poised for another big season," said Talley. "The silver lining is that we will be able to get Norman healthy and have him back for next year."

White had a breakout year a season ago with 69 catches for 886 yards and 11 touchdowns. For his efforts in 2010, White was a first team All-CAA selection. He was a preseason first team All-CAA honoree this year.

The 6-3, 205 pound White is a native of Hammonton, N.J.
