Villanova Drops at West Virginia Invite

MORGANTOWN, W. Va. - The Villanova men's swimming & diving team scored 553 and came in third at the West Virginia Invite Friday and Saturday.

West Virginia placed first with 1,373 points while Cincinnati came in second with 1,121.

Senior Ben Smith earned a third place finish in the 200 butterfly with a final time of 1:56.69.

Smith, junior Jason Moyer, senior Kyle Grant and freshman Harrison Rodts took fourth in the 800 freestyle relay with 7:09.90.

Rodts took fifth place in the 1000 freestyle in 10:00.22.

Sophomore Zachary Romanovsky took a score of 158.25 on the 1 meter board on Friday. On Saturday, he earned a 147.15 on the 3 meter board.

The Wildcats travel to Storrs, Conn., to take on Connecticut on Nov. 2 at noon.
