STORRS, Conn. - The Villanova men's swimming & diving team dropped to Connecticut, 228-66, Saturday afternoon in Storrs, Conn.
Senior Ben Smith earned first in the 100 butterly (50.92) finished second in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:44.25.
Freshman Harrison Rodts placed third in the 1000 freestyle with a 9:58.72.
Junior Chris Tamanini earned third in the 100 backstroke (54.01) while junior Tony Sipala took second in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.21). Sipala also notched third in the 200 breaststroke with a 2:16.89 and third in 200 individual medley (2:03.33).
Sophomore Nikolai Tchobanov placed third in the 200 butterfly (2:00.53) and senior Kyle Grant took third in the 200 backstroke (1:58.02).
Freshman Greg Cino notched third in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:51.70.
Grant, Tamanini, freshman Michael Rodriguez and junior Jason Moyer took third in the 400 freestyle relay (3:13.51).
Sophomore Zachary Romanovsky earned a 182.55 on the 1-meter diving board and a 180.29 on the 3-meter board.
The Wildcats compete in a quad meet with Georgetown, Rutgers and Seton Hall Nov. 8-9.
