Men Finish Fourth at Frank Elm Invitational

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Villanova men's swimming and diving team placed fourth with a final score of 738 over the weekend at the Frank Elm Invitational, hosted by Rutgers in Piscataway, N.J.

Army took first with score of 2,646.50 for the weekend.

Senior Kyle Grant, senior Ben Smith, junior Chris Tamanini and junior Jason Moyer placed 10th in the 200 freestyle relay finals with a final time of 1:27.71.

Smith placed 14th in the 100 butterfly (51.88) on Saturday. Moyer placed 12th in the 100 backstroke later that day (53.77) while freshman Michael Rodriguez finished just behind him with a time of 53.85.

Grant earned a 14th place finish on Sunday in the 200 backstroke with a final time of 1:59.99. Smith placed 13th in the 200 butterfly (1:59.92).

Freshman Harrison Rodts finished 14th in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 16:54.77.

Zachary Romanovsky placed eighth on the 3-meter board Saturday with a final score of 167.60.

The Wildcats participate in the Big Al Invite Dec. 6-8 in Princeton, N.J., for their final meet of 2013.
