VILLANOVA, Pa. -- The Villanova women's (4-3, 2-0 BIG EAST) and men's (0-6, 0-2 BIG EAST) swimming and diving teams travel to Christiansburg, Va. to compete in the H2Okie Fall Invitational Meet this week from Thurs., Nov. 20 to Sat., Nov. 22. The seven-school meet, hosted by Virginia Tech, will take place at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center. Preliminary events on each day will begin at 10 a.m. followed by the final races at 6 p.m.

Villanova will be joined by Alabama, Liberty, Ohio, South Carolina, William & Mary and the host, Virginia Tech.

The three-day meet will commence with the 200 freestyle relay, 500 freestyle, 200 IM, 50 freestyle, men's three-meter dive, women's one-meter dive and the 400 medley relay on Thursday.

Friday's events consist of the 200 medley relay, 400 IM, 100 butterfly, 200 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 100 backstroke, women's three-meter dive, men's one-meter dive and the 800 freestyle relay.

The final day of the invitational, Saturday, will begin with the 1650 freestyle followed by the 200 backstroke, 100 freestyle, 200 breaststroke, 200 butterfly, women's platform dive, men's platform dive and will finish at the conclusion of the 400 freestyle relay.

All events will be conducted with preliminary events followed by the finals with the exception of relays and the 1650 freestyle.

The Wildcats were off last weekend and previously raced at the Quad Meet in Piscataway, N.J. on Nov. 7 and 8. The women earned its first two conference victories against Georgetown, 233-114, and Seton Hall, 256-85, but fell to the host Rutgers, 189.5-154.5. The men dropped its races to the Hoyas and Pirates as the squad still seeks its first win of the season.

The Christiansburg Aquatic Center features a 25-yard, eight-lane competition course. The facility is equipped with a Colorado timing system, two digital scoreboards, Paddock starting blocks with relay judging platforms and adjustable foot wedges. The warm-up/warm-down pool is located adjacent to the competition pool. Diving apparatus include full platform, two one-meter boards, and two three-meter boards, all mounted on cement blocks.

Live stats will be available for the three-day meet in Christiansburg.
