CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. - The Villanova women's and men's swimming and diving teams concluded its three-day meet, the H2Okie Fall Invitational, hosted by Virginia Tech in Christiansburg, Va. on Saturday evening. The women finished in fourth place in the seven-school field with 407 points behind Virginia Tech (1333), Alabama (821) and South Carolina (611.5). The men finished fifth with 187 points while the Virginia Tech took the victory with 1255 points.

WOMEN
Freshman Caitlin Daday (Allentown, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) opened up Saturday's meet with a second place finish in the 1650 freestyle, coming in at 16:33.67. Sophomore Emily Mayo (Centennial, Colo./Arapahoe) finished shortly after Mayo at 16:44.03.

In the 200 backstroke, freshman Gabby Daigneault (Montreal, Quebec/William H. Hall) touched the wall at 2:00.31 while sophomore Colleen Lord (Sugar Land, Texas/Clements) swam a 2:02.04; both raced in the C Final.

Senior Katrin Heider (Bergisch Gladbach, Germany/Herkenrath) swam a 50.78 for a fifth place finish in the 100 free A Final. Junior Kaisla Kollanus (Hyvinkaa, Finland/Makelanrinteen Iukio) clocked a 51.03 during the B Final.

In the C Final 200 breaststroke, freshman Olivia Cacciatore (Rockford, Ill./Belvidere North) finished tops for Villanova at 2:19.95.

Junior Fiona Hardie (Hampshire, England/Bournemouth School) touched the wall at 2:01.55 in the B Final of the 200 butterfly.

In the final event of the evening, the 400 freestyle relay, the Wildcat group of senior Sara Jurek (Gilbert, Ariz./Chandler), sophomore Jessica Randolph (Davie, Fla./American Heritage), Kollanus and Heider swam a 3:24.55 for a fourth place finish.

MEN
Starting with the 1650 freestyle, sophomore Harrison Rodts (Marblehead, Mass./Marblehead) finished at 16:15.23 for a 12th place finish. It came as Villanova's first 1650 free event of the season.

In the 200 backstroke, freshman Andrew Stotesbery (Greenwich, Conn./Greenwich) clocked a 1:55.92 in the C Final.

Senior Jason Moyer (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) finished the 100 free C Final at 46.64.

In the 200 breaststroke, senior Tony Sipala (South Glastonbury, Conn./Glastonbury) touched the wall at 2:09.40 in the C Final.

Junior Nikolai Tchobanov (Brewster, N.Y./Brewster High School) finished the 200 fly C Final in 1:56.43 for the top time for Villanova.

The men concluded the three-day meet with a 14th place finish in the 400 free relay, finishing at 3:08.80 behind Moyer, sophomore Ian Kleinsmith (Mt. Kisco, N.Y./Fox Lane), freshman Jake Hoin (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Prep) and sophomore Mike Rodriguez (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Our Lady of Lourdes).
