  • Villanova has tied a school record by scoring 140 points in its past three games. This is the third time in school history that the Wildcats have achieved the feat. Villanova also scored 140 points in a three-game stretch during both the 1997 and 2000 seasons.

  • During their three-game winning streak, the Wildcats have an average margin of victory of 32.0 points and have racked up 1,644 yards of total offense (548.0 yards per game). Junior quarterback John Robertson is 54-of-72 (75.0%) for 783 yards and 11 touchdown passes in the three games.
  • John Robertson has completed 70.7 percent (70-of-99) of his passes this season while throwing for 982 yards with 12 touchdowns and zero interceptions. He is also second on the team in rushing with 240 yards and one touchdown on 68 carries. Robertson moved into sixth place in school history with 39 career touchdown passes during the win over Penn.
  • All of the scoring in the game came in the first 23 minutes. Villanova led 21-0 at the end of the first quarter, stretched the margin to 34-0 less than four minutes into the second period and took a 41-7 lead with 6:13 to play in the first half.
  • The victory for the Wildcats was their 14th straight in the all-time series versus the Quakers. The teams have met in each of the past 12 seasons and Villanova head coach Andy Talley is now 13-0 in his career against Quakers head coach Al Bagnoli, who is retiring after the 2014 season.
  • There have been just five games in FCS history pitting head coaches with at least 220 FCS wins against each other. Three of those five games have been between Villanova and Penn in the past three seasons.
  • The 41 points scored and the 34-point margin of victory are each the highest totals recorded by the Wildcats in the series against the Quakers. The most points Villanova had scored against Penn was 35 points in last season's 35-6 victory on September 28, 2013.
  • Senior tight end Earnest Pettway caught the seventh touchdown pass of his career and his third in the last two games to open today's scoring ... Junior running back Gary Underwood has posted career-high rushing totals in two of his last three games ... His career-high 93-yard performance against Penn was fueled in part by a career-long 54-yard run for a touchdown ... Underwood leads the team with 491 all-purpose yards this season ... He has scored five touchdowns, including three rushing and two receiving ... Sophomore cornerback Jason Ceneus registered his first career interception and senior safety Jerry Miles tallied his second career pick in the game ... Villanova recovered a fumble for the first time this year and finished with a +1 turnover margin in the game ... Penn forced two fumbles in the second half.
