VILLANOVA, Pa. -

The women's water polo team traveled to Princeton, N.J. to compete in the two-day Princeton Invitational and competed in their first and second of four matches this weekend. Villanova played a match first against ninth-ranked Princeton and then against CAMO.

Game 1 - Princeton 16, Villanova 4

Princeton took an early 1-0 lead when Morgan Hallock scored her first of three goals on the day. Villanova senior Callan Edwards tied the game at 1-1 a few minutes later.

The Tigers went into the half with a 6-3 advantage and then were able to outscore `Nova 10-1 in the second half.

Villanova's leading scorer was once against Dominique Clark, who after scoring her first three career goals against Harvard, scored two today against the Tigers. The Wildcats' fourth goal came from Naomi Ng who up through this game has scored in every game this season.

Game 2 - CAMO 9, Villanova 5

In their second matchup of the day the Wildcat's fared a little better on defense giving up six less goals and better on offense scoring one more, however it wasn't enough.

Dominique Clark has cemented a place for herself on this team and has really been a goal scoring force for the Wildcats so far in this young season. She added two more to her season total, which is now at seven.

Other goal scorers for Villanova included two goals by Callan Edwards and one by Sadie Dutcher, both seniors.

The second and final day of the Princeton Invitational will be tomorrow when the Wildcats will take on Indiana at 8:30 a.m. and then will face Harvard for the second time this season at 2:30 p.m. The first meeting between the two teams ended in a 19-8 loss for Villanova.
