VILLANOVA, Pa. — Senior Ella Mattocks took home MAAC Offensive Player of the Week Wednesday for her performances in Lexington, Va. to close the regular season. 

Mattocks scored 12 goals at the VMI MAAC Showcase, adding seven exclusions drawn as well. 

Mattocks' best performance of the weekend came against Siena March 28, when she scored six goals. 

The award was Mattocks' first of her season and career. The senior is second on the team in goals with 78 this season. 

Mattocks is the third player to pick up a MAAC weekly award in 2026. The 'Cats head into the MAAC Championship Tournament as the two-seed April 11 against Wagner in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
