Villanova wins its fifth conference title at the BIG EAST indoor meet. This is the second straight year that the Wildcats have captured the team championship. Prior to the past two seasons, Villanova had not won the indoor conference title since 1986 when it won its third title in a four-year span.
Villanova won seven individual event and relay titles over the past two days and now has 119 all-time individual event and relay titles indoors. The 119 all-time titles are the most in conference history, as the Wildcats and Georgetown are the only two programs to win at least 100 events. Including this season, the Hoyas have won 106 all-time titles.
