NEW YORK - Villanova junior infielder Lauren Herschberg was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll following her performance this past weekend at the Delaware Spring Invitational in Newark, Del. as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.

In four games, Herschberg went 4-for-12 at the plate with five RBI's, one run scored, and one double. She hit .333 overall. This is the Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif. native's second time winning a conference weekly award. Overall, Herschberg is hitting .400 this season in 65 at-bats.

The Wildcats went 1-3 overall in Delaware with a 9-1 win over North Carolina A&T Saturday. Their losses came against Albany and Delaware (twice). Villanova sits 9-10 overall.

The 'Cats will return to action next weekend as they travel to Towson, Md. for the Towson Tiger Classic. VU will play two games on both Saturday, March 19th, and Sunday March 20th.

Villanova will play host Towson at 1:30 on Saturday followed by Mount St. Mary's at 3:30 p.m. On Sunday, VU will play Fordham at 11:00 a.m. and Mount St. Mary's again at 1:30 p.m.
