Head Coach Jay Wright

Opening Statement: It was a gutty effort by Georgetown. A lot of good things, but our inconsistency again just catches up with us. Then we get it back at the end. I think you have to give Georgetown credit for grinding and not going away and continuing to make plays. (Rodney) Pryor and (L.J.) Peak, we did a good job on them for awhile, and they got loose for a period and we didn't make shots. It was a ball game.

On Josh Hart playing well at the end of the second half: He's a stud. Certain guys, just physically, you know they can handle the minutes. I think Josh is one of those guys. He made that shot at the end. We run a play from there at the end, he drills it. He's fresh, he's playing defense at the end. That three he hit at the end - he's coming off the baseline to the middle of the floor. You've got to have strong legs to catch that and drill that. He does. I think it's more concentration.

On Donte DiVincenzo's play: He's just played great. He's getting better every day. I'm so proud of him. All the little things that are difficult for freshmen to learn - the defensive concepts, the game plan, the defensive game plan, offensive rebounds, making the right pass - he just picks up on all of those things. You guys will see in the future, he's a great scorer. You're just starting to see a little bit of it, but he's doing all of the other little things. That's why he's become so valuable to us.

On if feels his team is in a good position to go on the road for two straight games: I do. They don't give me any reason. They find their way to do it. I know they'll go into Xavier ready to play with great confidence, great respect for Xavier. They do that every game. It's just a matter of how we'll handle periods during the game putting 40 minutes together.

Senior Josh Hart

On the run toward the end of the game: We started getting stops. We've got to give them credit. They were working that lead down. They got it down to two. We put together a couple of stops, and that really fueled the last couple of minutes on the offensive end. You've got to give them credit.

On overcoming the lapses during games: It starts with the three seniors. We've got to demand that, but we've got to demand that of ourselves first and foremost. Then just play Villanova basketball and demand that from the younger guys and be role models to them in that aspect. It starts with the three seniors and trickles down.

Freshman Donte DiVincenzo

On playing more of the point guard position: I'm confident in every position that I play. The point guard position is getting it over half court and initiating our offense. Once we initiate the offense, we're all ball players, and everybody has the same role.
