Perkins to Return For Senior Season in 2026-27

Guard led the Wildcats in scoing in 2025-26

VILLANOVA, Pa. - Guard Tyler Perkins will return to Villanova for his senior season in 2026-27, it was announced today.
 
Perkins, named BIG EAST Most Improved Player and a third team All-BIG EAST selection in 2025-26, made the announcement on social media with a "Nova Nation – Run it Back" post Wednesday. The native of Lorton, Va., added "looking forward to getting back to work."
 
The native of Lorton, Va., native made strides in every area of his game in his second season in the Blue and White. His 13.7 points per game average led the Wildcats, who posted 24 victories and returned to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in four years. Perkins, who started all 33 games, connected on .369 of his attempts from beyond the 3-point arc and his 5.4 rebounds per outing from the guard position was second on the 'Cats to Duke Brennan's 10.3 rpg.
 
"Tyler does a lot of things that impact winning," said Villanova head coach Kevin Willard. "He did a great job of adjusting to what was a new style of play for him this past season and we're excited to have him return as one of our leaders."
 
Perkins began his college career at Penn in 2023-24 before transferring to Villanova ahead of the 2024-25 season. As a sophomore the 6-4 guard averaged 6.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per outing while serving primarily as Nova's sixth man.
