THE SERIES: The Dragons lead the all-time series 11-7, which dates back to Villanova's first season as a varsity program in 1991. Despite the Wildcats dominating the first half last season, Drexel came back from a 6-2 deficit to take down Villanova 9-8 last season at Villanova Stadium.
SCOUTING DREXEL: The Dragons came up just short in a comeback attempt against Rutgers last Saturday. Before the loss, Drexel was riding a three-game win streak after falling to No. 10 Duke 9-7 in the season opener.
