NORTHBOROUGH, MASS. – Sophomore Draw Specialist
Emma Verhoest has been named All-Region second team, as announced by the IWLCA on Thursday morning. She is one of 128 Athletes to receive this honor.
She finished the season with strong showings in all 18 games, starting 17 of them. Leading the conference in draw controls for the entire season and ranking eight nationally.
Verhoest finished the season with 174 draw controls, setting a school record for draw controls in one season, putting her at 278 total as a Wildcat. She also broke her own record of draws in a singles game with 17... she is now close to 100 draw controls behind the school record for draws in a career.
She was named All-BIG EAST First Team this season, after placing All-BIG EAST Second Team as a freshman. This also capped this season off with a BIG EAST Midfielder of the Week honor and BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
