Villanova, Pa. -

2017-18 Schedule

Villanova University head women's basketball coach Harry Perretta today announced the 2017-18 Wildcat schedule. The Wildcats will play a 29-game schedule, including 18 Big East Conference contests and four Philadelphia Big Five match-ups.

The 2017-18 campaign begins on Friday, Nov. 10, with a road game at the University of Hartford. After playing Lehigh at the PPL Center in Allentown, Pa., as part of a men's/women's basketball doubleheader on Nov. 17, the Wildcats return to the Main Line to open the home portion of the schedule against Duke on Nov. 19.

Villanova will spend Thanksgiving at the University of Vermont Thanksgiving Classic. The Wildcats open the tournament on Nov. 24 against James Madison and will play either American or the host Catamounts on Nov. 25.

Following the Thanksgiving tournament, Villanova will travel to Princeton on Nov. 29, before hosting Saint Joseph's on Dec. 3. Following the Saint Joseph's game, the Wildcats will play three straight road games at Fairfield (Dec. 6), Temple (Dec. 10) and La Salle (Dec. 20) before the Christmas holiday.

The Big East Conference schedule starts on Dec. 28 with a road game at Creighton and continues on Dec. 30 at Providence.

After the first of the year, 16 of the 17 games will be Big East Conference match-ups. The lone exception is a home date versus Penn on Jan. 17. For a fifth straight year, the Wildcats will play an 18-game double round-robin Big East Conference schedule.

All 10 BIG EAST teams will appear on nationally televised games during regular-season play across the FOX Sports family of networks, while an additional two games will be featured on CBS Sports Network (CBSSN). For the third consecutive year, the BIG EAST Digital Network (BEDN) will air all women's basketball games during conference play that are not scheduled for a television broadcast, for a total of 74 tilts.

Villanova is set to make three national television appearances this year as part of the Big East TV package. The televised games include home contests against Marquette (Jan. 21; FS1) and Seton Hall (Feb. 11/ FS2) and a road game at DePaul (Feb. 18/ FS1).
