Kelly Montesi was named Female Athlete of the Week.
Montesi earned three first-place finishes on the afternoon and even set a pool record at the Hoyas' Albert G. McCarthy, Jr. Pool in the 400-yard IM. She clocked a time of 4:27.70 in the 400 IM and landed a first-place finish, a pool record and the top time in the league this season. Montesi swam to her other first place finishes in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:03.66, which is the second fastest in the BIG EAST and in the 200-yard medley relay. The Wildcats recorded a time of 1:46.08 in the relay which is also the fastest in the conference.
Villanova swim and dive returns home Friday, Nov. 9 where they welcome UPenn for a 5 p.m. meet.
