OCALA, Fla. - Villanova Swimming and Diving turned in another dominant night at the 2026 BIG EAST Championships on Thursday, highlighted by multiple gold medals, a podium sweep, and several performances that rewrote the program record book.
In the 500 Free, Katie White earned the conference title, touching first in 4:50.10. Peri Gaguzis joined her on the podium with a third-place finish in 4:52.68.
In the 200 IM, Meghan Tiernan captured gold in 1:59.54, moving into fourth all-time in program history. Anna Farley placed second in 2:01.02, while Emily Herr secured bronze in 2:01.16 to complete the Wildcat sweep.
Carlota Colomer Guasch claimed gold in the 50 Free, matching the fastest time in program history with a 22.63.
On the men's side, Justin Nowicki earned bronze in the 200 IM with a 1:46.83, marking the fastest time in Villanova history. Zach Sutter placed fourth in the men's 50 Free (20.10), posting a new program record.
In diving, Nate Warson finished second on the 1-meter board with a score of 325.80.
The women closed finals with a win in the 200 Free Relay. The team of Colomer Guasch, Jana Strand, Riley Kudlac, and Anna Farley touched first in 1:31.12, marking their third relay victory of the week and sixth straight title in the event.
Day three is set to begin with swimming preliminaries at 10 a.m., followed by women's 1 meter diving prelims at 1 p.m., and finals at 5:45 p.m. Finals events will feature the 100 Fly, 400 IM, 200 Free, 100 Breast, 100 Back, and 400 Medley Relay.
