Wildcats Fall to Brown 12-9

Villanova, Pa. -

Despite being up by five early No. 4 Villanova fell to Brown on Tuesday afternoon by a final of 12-9.

Villanova came out strong in the first quarter scoring four goals while not letting Brown find the back of the net. It was four different Wildcat's who scored in the first 15 and Devin McNamara kept the scoring going just minutes into the second quarter to put Villanova up 5-0.

Brown answered back going on a five to two run to close out the second quarter to make the halftime score 7-5 Villanova.

The Bears got the game within one in the third but Keegan Khan found Colin Crowley to pull the lead back to two. Brown would net one more as time was expiring to make it 8-7 Villanova with only one quarter to go.

Brian Prigmore tied the game up but Khan pulled the Wildcats ahead 9-8 with just over nine to go. Villanova wasn't able to find the back of the cage again for the rest of the game but Brown was able to net four more to make the final 12-9.

Next Villanova will travel to Philadelphia to take on the Penn Quakers Saturday. Faceoff is set for 1:00 P.M. inside Franklin Field.
