April 11, 2018 VILLANOVA, Pa. - Jahvon Quinerly, a 6-1 senior guard from Hudson Catholic (N.J.) High School has signed a national letter of intent to attend Villanova University, it was announced today.
Quinerly was selected as a 2018 McDonald's All-American. As a senior at Hudson Catholic High School he averaged 18.5 points and 5.8 assists per game while establishing himself as one of the nation's elite backcourt prospects. The Hackensack, N.J., native is listed as No. 26 in ESPN's listing of the nation's Top 100 seniors.
"We are proud to have Jahvon join the Villanova family," stated Wildcats head coach Jay Wright. "He is an outstanding student, talented point guard, and accomplished leader. We will count on Jahvon immediately in our lineup. He has all the ingredients of another great Villanova guard."
Quinerly joins Brandon Slater (Fairfax, Va.) and Cole Swider (Providence, R.I.) as members of Villanova's incoming class of 2022. Slater and Swider signed their national letters of intent during the November signing period.
