PHOTO/INTERVIEW OPPORTUNITIES - WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!
- Villanova Football Coach Andy Talley and former NFL player Brandyn Harvey '10, who played wide receiver at Villanova and was on the 2009 national championship team, will be in attendance at the Walk+Run. Brandyn, who will also be emceeing the event, joined the registry thanks to Coach Talley & the Get in the Game program at Villanova. Brandyn will be sharing his powerful journey to becoming a bone marrow donor when he was called to save a life in 2017.
- Engage your audience with moving personal stories shared by local transplant recipients and donors. Opportunities include interviewing/photographing Philadelphia transplant recipients, marrow donors and searching patients hoping to find a donor.
- A donor registry drive will also take place during the Walk+Run, giving the community another opportunity to save lives by joining the Be The Match Registry® as potential marrow donors.
- Representatives from Be The Match can discuss the process of marrow transplantation, the diseases treated by a transplant and the unique challenges of patients who need a marrow transplant from an unrelated donor.
