Villanova ESports Team Wins BIG EAST ESports Invitational

VILLANOVA, PA. - This past Saturday, Villanova's Esports team was crowned the first champions of the BIG EAST Esports Invitational powered by ESL, winning the League of Legends by Riot Games Championship. The No. 2 seed Wildcats earned a 2-0 win over No. 3 seed Seton Hall in the first round, lining up a championship match against No. 1 seed DePaul, who defeated No. 4 seed Providence 2-0 to reach the final round. In the championship match, the Wildcats shut out top-seeded DePaul 2-0 for the BIG EAST League of Legends title.

Battling for the Wildcats were Kevin Hames, Han Chin, Thomas Ebenger, Michael Condello and Joe Colson.
