VILLANOVA, Pa. -- A pair of 2018 NCAA Final Four rematches highlight the 2018-19 Villanova non-conference men's basketball schedule announced today.

The 2018 NCAA national champions will host Michigan as part of the Gavitt Games on Wednesday, Nov. 14 and visit Kansas Dec. 15 as part of their '18-19 slate. The Wildcats downed the Jayhawks 95-79 in the Final Four in San Antonio and then upended the Wolverines 79-62 to claim Villanova's second NCAA crown in the past three seasons.

Other pre-BIG EAST highlights include Philadelphia Big Five clashes against La Salle, Penn, Saint Joseph's and Temple; a Thanksgiving visit to Florida for the Advocare Invitational; the return of former Villanova associate head coach Baker Dunleavy, who will bring his Quinnipiac squad to visit the Wildcats on Saturday, Nov. 10; and a clash with former BIG EAST rival Connecticut in New York City three days before Christmas (Dec. 22).

After a 2017-18 season when its on-campus home was unavailable due to renovation, Villanova will return to the rededicated Finneran Pavilion this season. As they have in every season since 1996, the Wildcats will also host games at Philadelphia's Wells Fargo Center. The specific venue sites -- Finneran Pavilion or Wells Fargo Center -- for individual home games will be revealed when the 2018-19 schedule is released in its entirety after Labor Day.

Additionally it was announced today that the annual "Blue/White Scrimmage" is set for Saturday morning, Oct. 13 (preceding the Villanova home football game vs. James Madison at 1 p.m.).

Villanova finished 2017-18 with a 36-4 record. Four of its key performers on that team -- Mikal Bridges, Jalen Brunson, Donte DiVincenzo and Omari Spellman -- elected to forego their remaining college eligibility and were chosen in the first 33 picks of June's National Basketball Association Draft. Seniors Phil Booth and Eric Paschall will lead a youthful '18-19 edition.
