RICHMOND, Va. – Junior wide receiver
Changa Hodge (East Stroudsburg, Pa.) has been named the CAA Co-Offensive Player of the week for his efforts in Saturday's 55-33 win over Delaware.
In the victory, Hodge tallied eight receptions for a career-high 236 yards and a career-best four touchdowns. The four scores were from 82, 43, 37 and 16 yards. He becomes the first Villanova receiver to have a 200-yard receiving game since 1996 and first with at least four touchdown catches since 1971. The 236 yards are the 5
th-most by a FCS player this season.
Hodge also went over the 1,000 yard receiving mark for the season in the win, becoming the first Wildcat since 1999 to achieve this feat. Hodge currently has 59 receptions for 1,020 yards and 12 touchdowns.
The Wildcats return to action on Saturday, Nov. 30, when Villanova travels to Southeast Louisiana for the first round of the NCAA FCS playoffs. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. eastern time.
