Villanova, Pa. – Villanova Water Polo fell to #14 Princeton 15-7 Saturday afternoon.
Princeton got on the board first three minutes into the game and would score the next four to go up 5-0.
Kaysie Stuba got Villanova on the board with four minutes left in the first half. The Tigers then extended their lead to 9-1 before Stuba scored on a penalty shot for the Cats.
After another Princeton goal,
Charlotte Curran got on the board and made it a 10-3 game. Princeton added another one and then
Kate Murray scored off an assist from Stuba.
The Tigers scored three of the next four goals with Villanova's goal coming from
Amanda Rice off of an assist from
Malia Gacutan.
Charlotte Curran then scored her second goal of the game to cut the lead to 14-6.
Ailish Skinner rounded out the scoring for the Wildcats.
Kylee Giblin assisted on the goal. Princeton scored with three seconds left in the game to get the final score to 15-7.
Villanova will be back in action next Saturday competing in the Washington & Jefferson Tournament. They take on Salem at 12:30 P.M. and Gannon at 5:30 P.M.
