BROOKLYN, N.Y. - The Villanova women's tennis fell against LIU-Brooklyn 4-3 on Friday afternoon at McCarren Park. The Wildcats were leading 3-2 but couldn't win the final two single matches to clinch the match. 

The Wildcats won the doubles point by winning on courts one and three. The doubles team of Claudia Althans and Lindsey Evans defeated Anna Grigoryan and Ana Leonte 6-3 on court no. 1. Villanova's duo of Kaylan Rotman and Carina Burdick bested Malin Leysen and Jennifer Gogova 7-6 (4) on court no. 3.

In singles play, Carina Burdick won the first singles point for the Wildcats by defeating Clemence Krug on court no. 6, 6-1, 6-0. Lindsey Evans defeated Jessisca Brzozowska 7-5, 6-3 on court No. 2 to give the Wildcats a 3-2 lead. 

Ultimately LIU-Brooklyn won the final two singles matches to clinch the match 4-3. The Wildcats next match is on March 26th at Bucknell University at 4:00 p.m.
