LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Villanova women's tennis team defeated the Bucknell Bison 4-2 on Thursday afternoon at the Varsity Courts. After losing the doubles point, the Wildcats won four singles matches to clinch the match. The Wildcats improve to 4-7 (0-2) on the year. 

In doubles play, the Bison won on courts one and two. Villanova's doubles team of Carina Burdick and Kaylan Rotman defeated Papich and Auteri 6-0.

In singles play on court no. 3, Kaylan Rotman defeated Leavy 7-5, 6-4. Alexandra Vesikallio beat Papich 6-4, 6-3.

On court no. 5, Carina Burdick lost the first set but rallied back to defeat Ayuso 4-6, 6-2, 6-0. And Olivia Kapp bested Auteri on court no. 6, winning 6-2, 6-2.

The Wildcats next match is Sunday March 31st against Loyola University (MD). The match will be played on Villanova's campus with a start time of 1:00 p.m.
