Women’s Tennis Finishes Fall Season at ITA Regionals

PRINCETON, N.J. — Villanova women's tennis team concluded its fall season this past weekend at the ITA Regionals at Princeton, N.J.

The 'Cats were selected to compete in the Northeast bracket across singles and doubles play with several teams across the region. Anne Moody, Olivia Corcoran, and Bella De Luise were selected to compete in singles, while Corcoran and Kutlova competed as one pair, and Moody and De Luise competed as the other.

In the Regionals opener on Thursday, the 'Cats competed in four different matches in singles play and came out 1-3 in those contests. Moody and De Luise each fell in the opening round of the Qualifying Singles Main bracket. De Luise fell in two sets to Columbia's Isabelle Sobee Oak, while Moody fell to Fordham's Paola Dalmonico Ueno also in two sets.

In doubles action, VU fell in both of its first-round contests, with De Luise and Moody losing to Penn's Velaga and Schlepphrost, 8-2. Kutlova and Corcoran fell 6-2 to Rutgers' Case and Karki.
