Water Polo Drops Hard Fought Game Against Mercyhurst

Erie, Pa. – After a 3-0 Saturday, the Wildcats dropped a tough 14-9 matchup to Mercyhurst.

Kate Murray and Kaysie Stuba led the team with three goals, but it was just not enough for the victory. Maria Breen, Paris Huffman, and Isabel Herbst all added in a goal.

Mercyhurst went up 6-4 after the first quarter and then went up 11-6 after three. The Wildcats would score the last three goals of the game, but their rally would come up short.

Villanova will continue conference play on Saturday against St. Francis Brooklyn at 10:30 AM and Iona at 6:00 PM. The game against St. Francis Brooklyn will be available to watch and the game against Iona will have live stats.
