Facing Off: The Villanova Wildcats will take on the Providence Friars for the final regular season game on Saturday at 1:00 P.M. The game can be seen on BEDN. Entering Saturday's game there are eight possible scenarios for the BIG EAST Tournament field.
Series History: Saturday will mark the 12
th meeting all-time between the Wildcats and Friars with Villanova winning seven of the previous meetings. Last season the Wildcats held on defeat Providence 10-9 at home.
A Look at Villanova: The Wildcats are 8-5 overall and 3-1 in conference play. Last weekend to close out home play Villanova defeated the St. John's Red Storm, 16-5. The Wildcats other conference wins have come against Marquette and Denver. This week Villanova is ranked 17 in the USILA Coaches Poll and 18 in the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll.

Villanova's Defense: BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Will Vitton has seven wins between the posts for the Wildcat this season. The rookie in just over 589 minutes has a 11.00 goals against average and .538 save percentage. SSDM
TJ Comizio currently ranks third all-time in career caused turnover with 58. This season he has 21 caused turnovers along with a team high 55 ground balls.
Dan Fisher and
Zack Ornstein spilt time on the center X going 172-for-342 (.503) on the season with a combined 74 ground balls.
A Look at Providence: The Friars are 6-8 overall and 2-2 in BIG EAST play. Providence's conference wins came in overtime against the Red Storm and against the Marquette Golden Eagles. Both Nick Hatzipetrakos and Brendan Kearns lead the Friars offense with 41 points. Hatzipetrakos leads the team with 35 goals while Kearns leads the team with 17 assists. FOG's Colin Keather and RJ Romeo have gone 162-338 (.479). Tate Boyce is the Friars go to keeper, with over 824 minutes this season between the posts the senior has a 10.05 goals against average and .562 save percentage.
