Brooklyn, N.Y. – Villanova dropped both matchups on Saturday.
Saint Francis Brooklyn
The Terriers were able to take down the Wildcats Saturday morning by a score of 12-9.
After the game was tied 4-4 at the end of the first quarter, SFBK would be able to score three goals in the second quarter will shutting out Villanova to take a 7-4 lead into halftime.
The Terriers would not look back as they never gave the lead back up. Kelsey Snelgar led the way for them with seven goals and an assist.
Charlotte Curran scored four goals for Villanova while
Kate Murray had two, and
Maria Breen,
Kate Stenmoen and
Kaysie Stuba all had one.
Iona
The Gaels were able to pull away late to seal their 13-9 win.
The Wildcats trailed by just one at half by a score of 6-5, and 10-8 after three quarters. However, Iona would be able to outscore the Wildcats 3-1 in the fourth for the win.
Iona was led by Jillian Schultz who had five goals, and Taylor Hensley and Jordan Van Reeken each had three. Breen, Curran, and
Malia Gacutan all scored two goals for the Wildcats, Murray, Stenmoen, and
Isabel Herbst all had one.
